1WYO was created out of Wyoming’s culture of neighbor helping neighbor. Our mission is to promote and strengthen local charitable organizations and develop Wyoming student athletes. We carry out our mission by using your donations to promote local charities using the influence and talent of community-minded student athletes.
Meet The Board of Directors
About Mitch Edwards
Mitch Edwards is an attorney with the law firm of Nicholas & Tangeman, LLC in Laramie, Wyoming. He has been with the firm since 2004. Mitch is a born and bred Cowboy, originally from Gillette, Wyoming. He graduated from the University of Wyoming, earning a degree in secondary education in 2000. He then attended and graduated with his law degree from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2004.
Mitch is an active alum, a passionate fan of Wyoming athletics, and actively involved in communities across Wyoming. He lives in Laramie with his wife, Julie, also a University of Wyoming alum, who is also passionate about Cowboy and Cowgirl athletes and giving back to the community.
About Jason Tangeman
Jason Tangeman was a starting center for the University of Wyoming’s Final Four Rugby team in 1991. He received a B.S. in History the same year. In 1996 Jason received his J.D. from the University of Wyoming’s College of Law. While in law school Jason was a published member and an editor of the Land and Water law review. Jason has been a partner at Nicholas & Tangeman, LLC in Laramie for more than 25 years.
Locally, Jason has served as an elected Trustee and Clerk for the Board of Education, Albany County School District No. 1. Jason has previously served as a board member for the St. Paul’s Newman Center Finance Council, Albany County Drug Court Management Team, Laramie Youth Football, Alpha Tau Omega
fraternity, the University of Wyoming Athletics Department’s Strategic Planning Committee, the Eppson Center Foundation, and the University of Wyoming’s Education Complex Visioning Task Force. Jason and his wife Laura met at the University of Wyoming and have been married for 30 years. They are both active supporters of the University of Wyoming and Wyoming athletics.
About Jason Roesler
Jason Roesler is a Certified Public Accountant with a practice emphasis in taxation, wealth management and estate planning. Jason is also a former UW student athlete (wrestling) and believes that Wyoming residents benefit greatly from having a robust intercollegiate athletic program.
Jason’s motivation for serving on the 1WYO Inc. Board is to promote an organization that endorses student athlete charitable involvement in Wyoming communities in hopes that the student athletes experience at UW is greatly enhanced and fosters a lifelong habit of paying it forward.
About Steve Gosar
Steve Gosar is a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Laramie, Wyoming. His practice specializes in wealth management, business transition strategies and estate planning. Born in Pinedale, Wyoming, Steve played basketball at the University of Wyoming and graduated with a degree in Molecular Biology. He spent a few years in the Cowboy Joe Club before venturing into a successful college basketball coaching career.
Steve spent time coaching at the University of Wyoming, Portland State University and was the head coach at the College of Southern Idaho. His 2010-11 CSI team, won the NJCAA National Championship and he was named the NJCAA National Coach of the Year.
In 2013, Steve stepped away from college coaching to join Edward Jones which provided him the opportunity to coach his own boys and be more involved in his community. He is currently an Albany County School District #1 School Board Trustee and has served on various non-profit boards in Laramie. He and his wife Lu have three boys, Jacob, Jaxon and Jace. They all love supporting Cowboy and Cowgirl athletics.
